The Strati, celebrated as the world's first 3D-printed car, made headlines at IMTS 2014 when it was printed and assembled in under six days. This groundbreaking vehicle is a testament to the power of additive manufacturing, demonstrating how innovation can disrupt traditional automotive production. Joining the Strati is the Rally Fighter, a car that was not only built live at IMTS 2012 but also designed through an open-source community. Local Motors, the creators of the Rally Fighter, compressed five weeks of work into just five days, unveiling this crowd-sourced, V8-powered vehicle before an awe-struck audience. With its Chevy E-ROD LS3 engine and sleek tubular steel space frame, the Rally Fighter embodies the spirit of collaborative innovation. Also featured is the BuildSubmarines.com car, the only NASCAR with a mission to connect talent with the next-generation of maritime manufacturing jobs. BlueForge Alliance (BFA) and Roush Fenway Keselowski (RFK) Racing have forged a multi-year engagement, hailed by RFK Co-Owner and Driver Brad Keselowski as a chance “to inspire the workforce of the next generation across the country.”
